The carburetor inside a leaf blower uses several plastic diaphragms to bring fuel into the carburetor, mix and measure the fuel and send it off to the cylinder. These diaphragms can warp after several seasons of use. This warping will cause the fuel to stop moving through the entire circuit, and the engine will shut off. The adjustment for the carb is 30 days, then you pay. At the beginning would not throttle up - they did a carb adjustment. Now 4 months and it is probably broken in per the echo manual whici says do final adjustment after 2 full hours use/2 full tankfulls. Seems a little under powered. Idle is 3300 rpm which is just above spec per manual.What has me looking at the PB-255 is the parallel second handle. I have a bit of arthritis in my arms and feel this might be a worthwhile feature. Found a used coil that looks identical except the outside plastic is dark blue instead of grey. It will take carburetor cleaner spray to clean out the parts and fuel lines. Once it is clean, check the primer bulb on the carburetor for cracks or holes. If air mixes with the fuel, the blower will not start.
